How to make Chicken Do Paniya :


 Ingredients:

- 500 g chicken, cut into pieces

- 3 large onions, finely chopped

- 1 large onion, diced

- 2 tomatoes, finely chopped

- 1/2 cup sour yogurt

- 2 tbsp of ginger-garlic paste

- 2 green chillies, sliced

- 1/4 cup cooking oil

- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds

- 1 teaspoon mustard seeds

- Turmeric powder 1 tsp

- 1 teaspoon red chilli powder

- 1 teaspoon garam masala

- Coriander powder 1 tsp

- salt


Instructions:


 1. Prepare the ingredients:

 Slice the onion and dice the onion and chop the tomato.

 Whisk the curd until smooth.


  2. Cook the onions:

   Heat oil in a large pan on medium heat and fry the diced onions.

  Put cumin seeds and mustard seeds in the oil. Once it starts spluttering, add chopped onion.

  Cook until the onion turns golden brown.

3. Add ginger-garlic paste:

  Add the ginger-garlic paste to the onion and cook for a few minutes until the raw smell goes away.


  4. Add spices and tomatoes:

  Stir in turmeric, red chili powder, coriander powder and salt.

  Add the chopped tomatoes and cook until they soften and the oil starts to separate from the spices.


  5. Cook the Chicken:

  Add chicken pieces and cook on high heat for 5-6 minutes, stirring occasionally.

6. Add curd:

 Reduce the heat and add the curd. Stir well to coat the chicken with the curd and spices.

  7. Simmer:

  Cover and simmer on low for about 20-25 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through and tender. Keep stirring occasionally.

  8. Add garam masala and green chillies:

  Add garam masala and green chillies. Add the diced fried onions and mix well and cook for another 5 minutes.

9. Serve:

  Serve with hot rice or naan.
