| Salted Lassi |
Salted lassi is the perfect drink to cool down during the hot summer months. This yogurt-based drink is super easy to make and requires very few ingredients. To make a simple lassi, mix yogurt with roasted cumin powder, salt, and water and then season with chopped mint leaves or chaat masala powder of your choice.
Ingredients:
2 cups white curd (yoghurt/daihi) (500 ml)
1/2 teaspoon toasted cumin powder
salt, to taste
1/2 cup water
Directions:
Step 1
Place 2 cups (500 ml) of curds in a deep bowl.
Step 2
Add 1/2 teaspoon of toasted cumin powder.
Step 3
Add salt to taste.
Step 4
wired mixer or electric hand mixer to beat until smooth and creamy.
Step 5
Add 1/2 cup of water. Blend again until a good layer of foam forms on top. Check the consistency of the Lassi and add more water if you like the consistency. Pour into two separate glasses and garnish with chopped coriander (or mint) leaves and fried cumin.
Serving Ideas: Salted lassi is the perfect drink for summer days. It can also be enjoyed with food.
